研究成果の概要

本研究では，異なる淡水流出強度下での淡水－海水混合域における栄養塩輸送過程について，瀬戸内海の中でも特に閉鎖性の高い海域の沿岸部を対象に水温，塩分，酸素・水素安定同位体比（δ18O・δD）およびラドン（222Rn）等をマルチトレーサーとした解析を行い，淡水由来栄養塩のインパクトゾーンおよび輸送経路（河川水および地下水経由）の季節変化を確認し，それにともなう植物プランクトンの分布や現存量の変化を明らかにした．
