| 研究開始時の研究の概要 |
Biological reaction rates can uniquely affect natural abundances of isotopes. These isotope values make some of the most ancient traces of life on Earth, and may indicate biosignatures on other planets. To investigate the history of biological methane production, we will determine the kinetic isotope fractionation factors of the enzyme catalysts involved in CO2 reduction to CH4.
