研究成果の概要

日本の年間自殺死亡数は1998年に32,863人と急増し、以降その動向を継続した。本研究では自殺既遂・未遂の両側面から調査し、危険因子を考慮した視点からも検討を行った上で、アルコール等に関する自殺への関与も含め総合的に考察し、更なる今後にむけた自殺予防・対策を示唆した。その結果、「全年齢層の健康問題、20歳未満の学校問題、40-49歳・50-59歳男性の経済・生活問題に殊に焦点をあてた対策が大切」、「アルコール・薬物、自殺手段や未遂に関して有効な対応が必要」な現状であった。自殺対策に関連する様々な分野の連携した予防や活動、各分野でも部署や課、地域単位での対策を実施していくことが重要となる。
