研究概要

ヒトの病原体として重要な単純ヘルペスウイルスの増殖機構、病原性発現機構を明らかにするため、ウイルスの保有する遺伝子産物の機能解析を行い、それらがアポトーシス制御、蛋白質分解系制御、細胞内輸送系制御に関わっていることを明らかにした。また、細胞因子としてINSM1、Tankylase1がウイルス増殖に関与していることを示した。これらの基礎研究はワクチンや腫瘍溶解性ウイルスの開発に有用であった。
