研究概要

「社会関係資本の機能と創出」に関して主要な成果を概略的に記す。
1. 社会関係資本の尺度として従来、General Social Survey (GSS)のネットワークに関する項目が使用されていたが、この尺度が人々の信頼・協力行動を予測しうるとは言えない。われわれは、ある社会の社会関係資本の水準を測るには、上記のようなデモグラフィックデータだけではなく、実際の行動実験における信頼・協力行動のデータをとり、その二つの関係をしなくてはならないことを示した。例えば、中国の経済発展状況が異なる様々な都市で、公共財実験・信頼ゲーム実験などを行った結果、被験者の信頼・協調が性別や年齢だけではなく、協力行動の有無、リスクや公平に対する選好、他人への期待に影響されることがわかった。
2. 信頼に基づく人間の協力行動の生化学的な基礎としてミクログリアが重要あることが示唆された。実験において被験者に脳内免疫細胞であるミクログリアの活性を抑えるミノサイクリンという抗生物質を投与し,他者への信頼が重要となる経済取引実験を行ってもらい,偽薬群と比較したところ,実薬投与群は他者の信頼性判断により敏感になることがわかった。特に、ミクログリアの活性は盲目的な信頼を抑制し、きちんとした判断に基づいた信頼。居力高校を促進する可能性があることが示唆された。
3. 囚人のジレンマ・鹿狩りゲームはそれぞれ、協力・協調の失敗を引き起こす状況として広く知られている。われわれは、これらのゲームを繰り返し行う状況下で協力・協調を導くと期待できる三つの仕組み(device)、すなわち、(1)協力・協調の難易度の段階的変化、(2)変化の内生性、(3)目標値の調整、について理論・実験により考察した。その結果、この仕組みが一種の社会関係資本として機能し、人々の協調・協力を促すことが確認された。これらの仕組みは、匿名性の高い現代社会において解決が難しいジレンマ、また、権力の干渉の余地の小さい国家間の問題や個人裁量の範囲内の問題にも適用可能と考えられ、それゆえ外的妥当性が高く、応用範囲も広いと考えられる。
