研究概要

極限的な分子計測を駆使して複雑分子系の研究を推進した。超高速分光では、シススチルベン異性化の多次元的反応座標の解明、銅（I）錯体の超高速構造変化機構の解明、シアニン色素の異性化座標に沿った核波束運動の追跡など、多原子分子の反応初期過程の研究を行った。界面選択的非線形分光では、電子和周波発生と振動和周波発生のヘテロダイン検出を実現し、生体膜モデル界面を含む水界面での基本現象に関する多くの新しい知見を得た。相関分光では、蛍光寿命測定と蛍光相関測定を組み合わせ、生体高分子の構造揺らぎの研究に高いポテンシャルをもつ新しい方法を開発した。
