研究概要

AAA シャペロンの分子機構を解析し、種々のAAA シャペロンに共通する分子機構やp97/VCP/CDC-48/Cdc48p のD2 ドメインのATPase 活性の正の協働性の重要性を明らかにしたほか、ATP 依存的p97 リングの回転運動を高速原子間力顕微鏡で観察した。酵母や線虫を用いた解析により、p97・fidgetin・Bcs1p などの細胞機能や発生における役割を明らかにし、これらが関連するヒト疾患の発症機序への示唆を与えた。
