研究概要

受精前後における遺伝子発現リプログラミングの調節機構を明らかにするために、まずリプログラミングによって起こる1細胞期での遺伝子発現パターンの解析を行った。その結果、これまでほとんど明らかにされていなかった1細胞期で発現する遺伝子を多数同定することができ、それらの中に受精前の卵で発現していない遺伝子が多く含まれていることが明らかとなった。また、受精前後でゲノム全体にわたりヒストン変異体の置換が大規模に起こることが明らかになり、これらが遺伝子発現のリプログラミングに関わっていることが示唆された。
