研究概要

ヒストン脱アセチル化酵素の阻害剤を用いてクローン技術の成功率を改善することに成功し、この技術を用いることで16年間凍結保存されていた死体からのクローンマウスの作出に成功した。一方、従来再クローニングには限界があると言われていたが、この技術により再クローンを25回以上繰り返すことに成功し、1匹のドナーマウスから600匹ものクローンマウスを作ることに成功した。初期化異常は蓄積されないことが初めて示された。
