研究概要

がん特別調査に関する総括研究としては次の5項目についての研究活動を行った。
1.総括班会議の開催:平成2年度中に3回の総括班会議を開催し、がん特別調査を円滑に、かつ効果的に行うために種々の点について討議し、予備調査の企画、実施、計画調査の企画、選定、推薦を行った。また、今後の予備調査および計画調査の企画、選定方法についても検討した。
2.国際がんニュ-スレタ-の発刊:国際学術研究がん特別調査の研究者相互間の情報交換を促進するために、国際がん特別調査に関するニュ-スレタ-の発刊を開始し、平成2年度中に2回発刊した。
3.国際がん予備調査の実施:将来の計画研究を企画、選定するために、がんの特別調査に関する予備調査を4件実施した。この予備調査の目的は本格的な計画研究実施の可能性の探索、ならびに本格調査を実施するために具体的な打ち合わせ、準備を行うことである。本年度は4か国を対象として4件の予備調査を実施し、いずれも多大の成果をおさめた。平成3年度にも引き続き予備調査を行う予定である。
4.国際がん班長会議の開催:国際学術研究がん特別調査に関する18班の班長および予備調査を実施した4人の研究者が各研究の進捗状況を報告し、主要成果を報告し、合わせて意見、情報の交換を行った。問題点についてはさらにアンケ-ト調査を実施することとした。
5.国際がんシンポジウムの開催:平成3年3月16日に東京都内(NSビルSRLセミナ-ル-ム)において、第6回シンポジウムを開催し、5人の研究者が平成2年度までに得た主要研究成果を報告し、討議を行った。
