研究概要

1.キク科キク属の種分化と細胞地理:延べ8回の現地調査を行ない、吉林、遼寧、河北、山西、河南、湖北、山東、淅江、江蘇、広東の各省及び北京、天津、上海の合計81箇所から600個体を採集し、450個体の染色体数を算定した。(1)Dendranthema lavandulifolium var.lavandulifoliumは、河北省、北京市、山西省から採集され、全て2n=18の2倍体であった。(2)日本産のキクタニギクに相当する分類群D.lavandulifolium var.seticuspeが遼寧省、湖北省、山東省、広東省から採集され、日本産のものと同様、2n=18の2倍体であった。(3)日本産のシマカンギクに相当する分類群D.indicumは、遼寧、山東、淅江、江蘇、湖北、広東の各省など中国の沿岸部及び内陸部に広く分布し、葉形・頭花など外部形態に大きな変異が認められたが、すべて4倍体であった。広東省では黄花系キク属に2倍体と4倍体があり、D.indicumとD.lavandulifoliumの形態形質を併せもつ個体が多く観察された。(4)中国固有の2種、D.potentilloidesとD.vestitumは、それぞれ4倍体(2n=36)、6倍体(2n=54)であった。現地調査でD.vestitumとD.indicumとの自然雑種が発見された。また、D.vestitumと白花系日本産キク属8種との間で人為F_1雑種を作出することができた。(5)日本産イワギクと関係のある種D.chanetiiには4倍体(2n=36)と6倍体(2n=54)のサイトタイプがあり、前者は遼寧省から河北省に、後者は山西省に多く観察された。またD.oreastrum、D.naktongenseはともに6倍体であった。これらの結果をもとに、キク属植物の細胞学的地理分布図を作成した。今後、地域を拡大して現地調査を行なういっぽう、採集個体の核形態学的研究、人為F_1雑種の細胞遺伝学的研究を進める予定である。
2.キク科Ajania属の細胞学的研究:四川省の標高2000〜4000mの山地を調査し、日本産のイワインチンと関係のあるAjania属7taxa550個体を採集した。これまでにA.racemosa(2n=18)、A.przewarskii(2n=36)、A.tenuifolia(2n=36)3種の染色体数を算定し、倍数性が存在することを見出した。
3.キク科Aster ageratoides群の細胞地理:中国東北部から華中・華南にいたる16の省・地域からAster ageratoidesの33集団の細胞学的研究を行ない、本種に2倍体(2n=18)、4倍体(2n=36)、6倍体(2n=54)の倍数体と倍数体間の雑種および異数体が存在することが明らかになった。本種が倍数性複合体を形成していることは、日本産の本種群と共通する現象である。中国国内では2倍体は北緯35°以北に、4倍体、6倍体は北緯27°から北緯35°の間に分布しており、これらの結果を示す地理分布図を作成した。
4.カヤツリグサ科植物の細胞学的研究:中国東北部および四川省などからカヤツリぐサ科植物7属40種(うち20種は日本との共通種)180個体を採集した。これまでにCarex、Eleocharis、Scirpus、Kobresiaの9taxaで染色体数を算定した(4taxaは初算定)。4産地から採取した26個体のタガネソウCarex siderostictaは全て4倍体(2n=24)であり、日本から中国東北部にかけて4倍体が分布することが明らかになった。
5.ラン科植物:中国広東省産ラン科植物12種および日本産ラン科植物6種を許可(CITES)を得て研究用に交換し、細胞分類学的研究を行なっている。これまでに5種の中国産ラン科植物の染色体数を明らかにした。この内、ネジバナSpiranthes sinensis、キンギンソウGoodyera proceraは、日本産のものと染色体数が一致した。一方、吉林省産のフタバランの一種Listera nubigenaでは、現地処理によって2n=40+3Bの染色体数が算定され、日本産のヒメフタバランListera japonicaと同様、B染色体が確認された。
このほか、日本産Paeonia属、ユリ科ジャノヒゲ属Ophiopogon、ヤブラン属Liliope、チゴユリ属Disporum他を研究材料として中国に持出し、中国側研究者による細胞学的、分類学的研究を行なっている。
