星間ガス降着期にある原始星の進化の観測的研究

研究概要

新4メ-トル電波望遠鏡による本観測を遂行し、多数の高密度分子雲コアを検出した。また、現4メ-トル電波望遠鏡も引き続いて広域観測を遂行している。
新4メ-トル電波望遠鏡 各種観測プログラムが整備され、定常観測に入った。指向精度として平均自乗誤差で5秒角以下という高い値が達成され、現望遠鏡よりも高精度の観測が可能となった。また、ワ-クステ-ション上でのデ-タ処理ソフトウエアの開発が完了し、高速2次元画像処理が可能となった。
観測 引き続いて、高密度コアの広域観測に集中して観測を遂行している。昨年度は、一硫化炭素分子の回転スペクトルによるオリオン座等の観測を行なったが、同スペクトルのプロ-ブとして適性について検討の余地があった。本年度は、一酸化炭素(炭素18を含む種)スペクトルによる広範な観測を実行し、オリオン座とへびつかい座について一硫化炭素分子との詳細な比較を行ない、両者の天文学的性質を吟味した。その結果、分子雲コアの存在そのものは、どちらの分子でも矛盾なく同定されるが、一酸化炭素(炭素18を含む種)が一硫化炭素分子に比べて飽和の影響が少なく、特に力学的質量を求めるなどの目的には優れたプロ-ブであることがあきらかになった。この結果を受けて、一酸化炭素(炭素18を含む種)によるコアの広域観測をおうし座、オリオン座、へびつかい座、セフェウス座等について行なっている。これらの結果は、来年度の観測結果と総合して、星形成の最初期段階の進化過程の詳細が明らかになることが期待される。また、分子流天体の捜査も引き続きおこない、新たに、5天体を発見した(白鳥座)。
