研究概要

平成3年度は、3ヵ年にわたった本研究計画の最終年度にあたるので、研究成果の取りまとめに向けての作業を中心として研究活動を行なった。具体的な作業としては、次のような各グル-プの研究をさらに推し進め、それらをまとめた。
1.臨界点を離れた弦理論のマトリックス模型による研究、
2.電弱理論のヒッグス機構に対するトップクオ-ク凝縮模型と6次元カラ-模型の研究、
3.電弱理論におけるsphaleronやinstantonによるバリオン数非保存の問題の研究、
4.有限温度の下での場の理論的相転移の分析、
5.ゲ-ジ理論の強結合相の数値シミュレ-ションによる研究、
6.超対称性の自発的破れの研究。
これらの研究をまとめるために6月と9月に研究分担者全体の会合を行ない、各研究分担者の下にある研究協力者にも、必要に応じて出席してもらった。また、分担者間で中間的情報交換や取りまとめを行なうために、随時小グル-プでの会合を持った。
本研究計画と並行して、我々は科研費「国際学術研究」にもとづくFermilabとの共同研究も行っている。この計画で取り扱っている研究内容は、本研究計画と密接な関係を持っている。11月には、この計画の下に国際研究集会を広島市内で行い、海外から約50名、国内から約90名の出席者を得、本研究計画に対しても多大な好影響があった。
本研究計画の全体的なまとめを行なうため、年度末には、全研究分担者及び一部の研究協力者による研究会を広島大学で開催し、そこでまとめられた成果を刊行物として現在準備中である。
