研究概要

1.マルテンサイト変態:Au-47.5at.%Cd 合金はマルテンサイト変態する典型的な合金であり、また、時効果によりゴム状弾性を示すことが知られている。この原因を明らかにするためX線回折実験を行い、ピ-ク・プロファイルが時効とともに非対称性をますことを見出した。(大塚)。また、ひずみを導入した合金についての実験から、ひずみの存在はζS_2マルテンサイトの生成を促進する効果があることが結論された(永沢)。Fe-Pd合成金のbctマルテンサイトには独特な局所歪が認められ、これが正方性の原因となっていることが示唆された(大嶋)。
2.ベイナイト変態:鋼のベイナイト変態において、フェライトの格子変形はマルテンサイト的せん断変形が強く関与していることを明らかにした(岡)。
3.合金における構造のゆらぎと相変態:ti-Ni合金に添加した第3元素の占有位置をALCHEMI法により調べた。FeおよびCoはNiサイトに、Cr,Mn,CuはTiとNiの両サイトにほぼ均等に入っていることが明らかにされた(清水)。アモルファス合金の中範囲規則構造を高分解能電顕法により観察し、各種のモデルと比較検討した(長倉)。
4.金属間化合物の相変態と構造欠陥:Pd-Mn系合金(渡辺)、Ag-Al合金(北野、Au-Cr合金(原田)、Pd-Ce系金属間化合物(沖)、U-Pd,U-Os系金属間化合物(安達)、各種準結晶(平賀)の構造、圧力の効果、磁性との関連を調べた。また、金属間化合物における拡達機構について詳細な解析を行った(小岩)。
