研究概要

1.今年度は研究計画初年度に当たり、班研究協力体制の早期確立のための班会議を重点的に行った。
1)班員の研究計画の相互理解及び研究技術の交換を主とした第一回班会議(8月25日)。
2)班員以外の研究者を招き、ショウジョウバエper突然変異種の生物時計に関する分子生物学的研究の情報収集・分析のための研究会(10月25日)。
3)今年度の成果を踏まえて、来年度以降の研究重点項目の検討のための班会議(2月1日)
4)そのほか、班員同士の個別研究打ち合わせ。
2.今年度の班員の主な成果:
1)ゾウリムシ(P.bursaria)の光受容蛋白、オプシンの分子量は8.2Kdである。
2)特に直接光受容に関与するのは繊毛膜に存在するオプシンである。
3)ゾウリムシ(P.multimicronucleatum)の膜電位は、概日周期で変動(日中過分極、夜間脱分極)する。
4)ショウジョウバエ視覚欠損突然変異種の行動の概日リズムも明暗サイクルに完全に同調する、従って通常の視覚系とは異なる光受容系の存在が示唆される。
5)眼球摘出ラットの視交叉上核に極在するソマトスタチン放出細胞のmRNA(0.6Kb)が、24時間周期で振動する。
3.以上の結果を踏まえて、概日リズムの自律振動発現機構の解明には、光情報伝達系とエネルギ-合成系の連関の解明が重要であることが結論付けられ、これを来年度の重点項目とすることにした。
