研究概要

本研究班は、平成3年度発足重点領域研究「神経・内分泌系と連携する免疫系による生体の高次調節」の申請準備を目的としている。そのため上記6名は数回にわたって検討会を開いた。また、班全体の会議を平成元年7月と平成2年2月に行なった。2月の班会議では、申請書の最終案をほぼ決定するとともに、班会議当日午後には「生体高次調節の基礎」と題するシンポジウムを京大会館(京都市左京区)において開催した。参加者は約120人であり、盛会であったと評価できる。演者は上記の6名で、それぞれの分野について、半ば教育的、半ば研究的に講演し、全体として好評であった。シンポジウム終了後、申請書を更に綿密に検討して最終案を作成するため、上記世界人は関係者の許に出張し、連絡を密にした。その結果、印刷ペ-ジで16ペ-ジ、とじこみ参考資料5件31ペ-ジ、計47ペ-ジの申請書と、4ペ-ジの申請書概要が2月末に完成し、3月2日に文部省学術国際局研究助成課へ60部を提出した。
当重点領域は、平成2年度発足としても類似の領域名で申請したが、第一次審査を通過したものの最終的には不採択であった。その原因について本研究班では綿密に検討し、班構成の変更、総括班の充実などの多くの改善を図った。なお、当申請領域が採択された場合にも総合B班は編成しなければならず、不採択の場合には平成4年度発足として申請を重ねる予定であるので、いずれにしても平成2年度の総合B班は必要であるので、それを申請済みである。
