激変星における降着円盤の不安定性の研究

研究概要	本研究の目的は、矮新星の爆発現象を降着円盤の不安定性により説明することである。平成元年度の報告書で述べたように、降着円盤の不安定性としては熱不安定性と潮汐不安定性の二種類がある。この二種類の不安定性を上手に使うことにより矮新星で観測されているいろいろの爆発現象を説明出来る可能性があることを前年度の報告書で述べた。本年度は、まず降着円盤の熱不安定性モデルに基づき、矮新星の爆発を伴星による潮汐摩擦の影響も考慮して数値シミュレ-ションした。特に降着円盤の半径の時間進化を追跡出来るような計算機プログラムを開発し、半径時間発展について数値シミュレ-ションした。円盤の半径の爆発の際の時間変化は、降着円盤内の角運動量の変化を良く反映しており、角運動量という立場からも矮新星の半径変化は重要である。本研究の降着円盤不安定モデルに基づく数値シミュレ-ションにより、U Gem型の矮新星で観測されている半径変化をよく再現出来ることが判った。また、この計算プログラムを使って、SU UMa型の矮新星のス-パ-アウトバ-スト現象をシミュレ-トすることを試みた。前年度の報告書で述べたように、円盤半径がある臨界半径を越えると、伴星の潮汐力の影響で降着円盤の形が楕円形に変形するという潮汐不安定性が起こる。この潮汐不安定性が起こると、降着円盤内での潮汐摩擦が急激に増加する。円盤半径の時間進化を追跡出来るプログラムを使うことにより、このような潮汐不安定を伴うような爆発のシミュレ-ションも可能になった。実際、SU UMa型の矮新星に対応する連星パラメ-タ-を使って、円盤の熱不安定と潮汐不安定と同時に考慮して計算を実行、ス-パ-アウトバ-ストと現象を再現することができた。
