異種溶媒間液間電位差の総合的研究とその分析化学・溶液化学への応用

研究概要

異種溶媒間の液間電位差には,a)電解質の濃度とイオンの輸率,b)イオンー溶媒間相互作用,c)溶媒ー溶媒間相互作用,のそれぞれと関連する三成分が含まれている.本年度はこの液間電位差について定量的な研究を行った。
1.同種電解質・異種溶媒間の液間電位差の成分a)について,簡単な仮定のもとに計算式を導き,この計算式が実験結果をよく説明できることを、多数の実験により証明した。
2.同種電解質・異種溶媒間の液間電位差の成分b)について,計算式を導いた。この式は互いに混じり合わない溶媒間での成分b)の実験結果とよく一致した.混じり合う溶媒間の液絡についても,この式は定性的に成り立った。このことを利用して,成分b)を見積る方法を考案した。
3.成分c)の値が電解質濃度の増加によって幾分減小する場合があることを見出した。しかし成分c)は原則として電解質に無関係であり,実験結果をよく説明できる本成分の発生機構を報告した。
4.異種電解質・異種溶媒間の液絡についても,上記1〜3とほゞ同様の取扱いが可能なことを確めた。
5.異種溶媒間液間電位差の新しい見積り方(三成分法)を提案し,その妥当性を従来法との比較によって確認した。
6.異種溶媒間の液絡で起きる現象を動的に検討するために,液々界面イオン移動ボルタンメトリ-の手法の応用を試みた.混じり合う溶媒間の場合,一般に測定は非常に困難であったが,最近,透折膜を両溶液間に挿入する方法が有効なことを見出した.現在,この方法により検討中である.
