研究概要

現在、白血病の治療、特にその化学療法においては世界でドイツ連邦共和国(正確には旧西ドイツ)が最も進歩しており、全国的共同研究グル-プを組織し、超強力化学療法を中心とするその治療戦略には目を見張るものがある。
本研究は、ドイツおよび日本の成人ならびに小児白血病治療共同研究グル-プが両国の共同研究による白血病の治癒的治療戦略の開発を目指すものであり、同一プロトコ-ルで両国の白血病を治療し、国際的共同治療が可能が否が、ならびに、両国の白血病の特性を比較検討することにより、ヨ-ロッパで開発される治療薬や治療法が我が国にそのまま適応しうるか否かを調査研究するものである。
本年度は研究代表者および日本側の研究分担者が、ドイツ側研究分担者のいるミュンスタ-大学・ハノ-バ-大学ならびにベルリン大学・フランクフルト大学を訪問し、各大学の複数の研究者とセミナ-を開催し、成人および小児白血病治療の治癒的治療戦略の開発につき討論し、成人および小児白血病治療共同研究グル-プの運営形態、活動状況ならびにその治療戦略の立案方法等を視察しつつ、治癒的治療戦略の開発につき討論し、両国で同一プロトコ-ルにより白血病を治療する国際的共同治療の可能性を検討した。
ドイツの白血病治療共同研究形態は日本のそれとやや類似した所があり、大学の研究者個人に統計解析を含めたかなりの負担が負わされており、研究遂行課程の意見交換は大いに参考になった。
しかし、両国で共通プロトコ-ルを作り、それに従って各々の患者を治療するという可能性については、例えばプロトコ-ル案の作成にも何回かの会議が必要であろうことが痛感され、計画の困難性が予測された。
