研究概要

ケイ素-ケイ素二重結合種であるジシレンの生成、構造、及び反応を詳細に検討した。ジシレンを低温マトリックス及びレーザーフラッシュフォトリシスで検出し、分光特性を確定するとともにアルコールなどの付加反応の動力学をも明らかにした。さらに反応の位置選択性や立体選択性を明らかにするなど興味ある結果を得た。
フェニル置換ジシレンに対するアルコールの付加反応の立体化学を検討したところ、シン付加が起こることを見いだし、アルコールの種類による選択性の変化の検討から、付加の反応機構を確立した。
アミノ基などケイ素官能性ポリシリレンの合成について検討した。予想に反してアミノ基やアルコキシ基など官能性置換基が100%の位置選択性でマスクしたジシレンに導入できることを見いだしたが、これはきわめて重要な知見で今後の各方面への発展を予約するものである。アミノ置換マスクしたジシレンのアニオン重合によって初めてケイ素上に官能基を有するポリシリレンを合成することができ、紫外線吸光スペクトルや発光スペクトルでの新規の現象を見いだした。さらにこのポリシリレンがヨウ素をドープする事でこれまでで最高の伝導度を示すことがわかった。これらはおそらくポリシリレン鎖にできたホールをアミノ基が安定化するためであろう。
官能基置換マスクしたジシレンの光反応でアルコキシ基およびアミノ基置換のジシレンを生成させその紫外線吸収スペクトルを測定した。これらの置換基効果は初めての観測であるが、さらにアルコールの付加反応の位置選択性が特異であることをも見いだした。
これまで合成されていなかったヘキサシラプリズマンや、ペルシリルシクロペンタジエニド、ペルシリルエチレンおよびペルシリルベンゼンのジリチウム錯体の合成に成功した。
