研究概要

本研究の目的は、さまざまの実験手法によって超伝導状態の特性を明らかにして有機物質における超伝導現象の特徴を解明するとともに、有機超伝導体の開発指針を発見して、新しい超伝導物質を合成することである。
(1)超伝導状態そのものの性質の解明
(BEDTーTTF)_2Cu(NCS)_2の超伝導の磁場侵入長の測定を、磁化率とμSRの2通りの方法で行ない、ゼロギャップ状態の存在を明らかにした。また、この物質の臨界温度に及ぼす延伸力の影響の解明や、(BEDTーTTF)_2Cu〔N(CN)_2〕Brの同位元素効果、層間距離の温度変化および臨界磁場の測定によって、層間相互作用の重要性を指摘した。
(2)フェルミ面の構造と電子ダイナミックスの解明
(BEDTーTTF)_2KHg(SCN)_4のシュブニコフ・ドハ-ス効果と角度依存磁気抵抗の測定によって、凝2次元フェルミ面のトポロジ-を解明するとともに、低温・低磁場の領域に反強磁性状態があることを発見した。また、αー(BEDTーTTF)_2I_3を圧力下で金属状装にしたとき、異常な磁気抵抗が現れることを見出した。
(3)新物質の開発および結晶構造と電気的性質の関係の解明
5Kの臨界温度をもつ新超伝導物質(BEDTーTTF)_2Ag(CN)_2H_2Oを作り出すことに成功した。また、DMPT,METなどの非対称ドナ-や、セレン置換のBETS分子を含む多数の金属性物質の合成に成功した。
