超伝導酸化物膜の気相法(ECRプラズマスパッタおよびMO(VD)による合成

研究概要

1.超伝導特性に大きな異方性を有するYーBaーCuーO(YBCO)系の超伝導体YBa_2Cu_3O×(123相)を利用するために、結晶配向方向の制御が重要な課題となっている。本研究では気相法によるYBCO膜の作製において、この結晶配向方向の制御を中心に研究を行った。
2.原料にはY,Ba,Cuの各2,2,6,6ーtetramethylー3,5ーheptanedionato(Y(thd)_3,Ba(thd)_2,Cu(thd)_2)を用いた。基板にはSrTiO_3(100)(5x10x1mm^3)単結晶を用いた。YBCO膜作製前にあらかじめBa量(m_<Ba>)が0.0〜4.3x10^<ー7>mol/cm^2のBaー0層をSrTiO_3(100)基板上に析出させた。種々の量のBaー0を析出させたSrTiO_3基板上に化学気相析出(CVD)法により析出温度850℃でYーBaーCuーO膜を合成した。膜組成はY:Ba:Cuのモル比で1:1.9〜2.1:3.4〜3.6であった。析出終了後は、酸素1気圧下15℃/minの速度で冷却を行うinーsitu酸素処理を行った。
3.SrTiO_3(100)基板上に直接成膜した試料(m_<Ba>=0.0)では、123相の(001)の回折ピ-クが主にみられた。m_<Ba>=0.5x10^<ー7>mol/cm^2の試料のXRDパタ-ンでは(001)のピ-クの他に(100)と(200)の強い回折ピ-クみられ、c軸配向した123相とa軸配向した123相が混在していることがわかった。さらにm_<Ba>=1.4では、(100)と(200)回折ピ-クが卓越し、わずかに(005)や(110)のピ-クが見られた。m_<Ba>=2.8や4.3x10^<ー7>mol/cm^2の場合、X線回折パタ-ンをみると無配向の時の主なピ-クである(103)や(110)などのピ-クが顕著に認められた。これらの結果から、生膜開始時の膜組成がYBCO膜の結晶配向性に大きな影響を与えていることが明らかになった。
電気抵抗の温度依存性を測定した結果、いずれの試料においても常伝導状態での抵抗は温度の低下とともに金属的に減少し、66から91Kで抵抗ゼロとなる超伝導転移を示した。
