生まれたばかりのパルサ-に於ける高エネルギ-粒子・γ線・X線の放射機構の研究

研究概要	【はじめに】本研究の目的は (1)若いパルサ-の磁気圏に生じる高エネルギ-粒子の加速メカニズムを明らかにする、 (2)X線やγ線の観測結果を説明するパルサ-磁気圏のモデルを提出する、ことであった。これに沿って、(1)高エネルギ-粒子加速層モデル、(2)磁気圏のグロ-バルなモデル、(3)パルサ-風の数値シミュレ-ションについて研究を行った。【結果】(1)制限電荷流による加速層モデルを検討し、加速層の位置の関数として、加速層にかかる電圧・加速層の厚さを得た。 (2)更に、電子陽電子対生成の効果を考慮した加速層モデルを検討した。その結果地球磁気圏のオ-ロラ粒子加速にみられる静電二重層がパルサ-磁気圏にも形成される可能性が導かれた。 (3)磁気圏のグロ-バルな構造を解くために、磁気圏電流回路モデルを提出した。パルサ-が進化するにつれてどの様に放射されるエネルギ-配分が決まるかを導くことが出来た。 (4)更に、パルサ-の制動指数が理論的予想値3より少さくなる原因が磁気圏電流の進化に帰されることを示した。 (5)数値シミュレ-ションによって熱遠心力風を初めて解くことに成功した。これは相対論的でないためすぐにパルサ-に適用ができないが、磁力線に垂直な力のバランスをきちっと解かないと正しいプラズマ流の加速率が求められないことを示した。 (6)更に、遠心力風では、ディスク風と、双極風が共存することを示した。
