研究概要

本研究は2つのグル-プの協力によって進められた。第1のグル-プは植物のシンク機能に関係する遺伝子の構造と発現調節を調べ、第2のグル-プは同機能の発現に影響する生理活性物質の解明を目的としている。第1グル-プの大山は光合成細菌の形質転換系を用い、ゼニゴケ葉緑体の未知遺伝子と相同性を示す遺伝子のクロ-ニングを行った。たん白や酵素遺伝子の発現調節機構を検討するため、南川はマメの種子の数種のたん白や酵素について、新名は西洋ワサビのペルオキシダ-ゼについて、それぞれの遺伝子の構造を解析すると共に、そのプロモ-タ-領域をレポ-タ-遺伝子につないで異種植物に導入し発現の様子を調べた。小林はシロイヌナズナの組織やカルスを用い、光合成遺伝子の転写活性とDNAのメチル化の関係を調べた。。庄野は細菌型インド-ル酢酸合成経路の少くとも後半の部分は植物にも存在することを確め、その生理機能の検討を進めている。第2のグル-プで吉原はキクイモからツベロン酸外数種の塊茎形成物質を単離、またタマネギの鱗茎形成物質を追求している。一方、山根は鱗茎形成抑制物質と考えられるジベレリンの作用を検討するため、その分布と変動を調べた。橋本はヒヨシアミン水酸化酵素の抗体を用い、細胞免疫化学的に同酵素の分布を調べ、根の内鞘での特異的発現を認めた。茅野はダイズ貯臓たん白の遺伝子を得て、それを異種植物に導入し、栄養による発現調節がダイズと同様におこることを確めた。西はニンジンのファイトアレキシンの生合成経路を明らかにし、またエリシタ-の刺激伝達に関係するとみられる各種の要因を調べた。上野もエンバクのファイトアレキシンに関し、その化学合成に成功すると共に組織内分布を調べ、抵抗性との関係を検討している。坂神はエンドウで種子のみに存在するオ-キシン、4ーCLーIAAの量的変化を種子の成熟段階を追って測定し、その集積機能における役割を調べた。
