生態学における数理的手法の総括と展望

研究概要

動物社会行動のゲ-ム論的取り扱い、植物生理生態の最適化モデル、生物の侵入、分散や空間パタ-ン形成の偏微分方程式系、多種の個体群動態にもとづく群集安定性の非線型力学系、そして熱力学的視点をも含めた生態遷移や生態系ネットワ-ク理論など、多岐にわたる生態学の数理的手法を用いる研究が引き続き活発に行われた。
また、各分担者よりそれぞれの専門から見た“総括と展望"の提出を求め、研究会でそれについて討論した。
数理的手法として、ゲ-ム論や最適化モデルのような目的論的手法と力学系理論のような因果論的手法の間を埋める試みとして、格子モデルによる統計力学的取り扱いが報告され、確率場理論との関連が論じられた。また、有性生殖の意義やあり方など、集団遺伝学的手法を更に取り入れるべきことや、栄養段階の問題に、物質・エネルギ-の流れをもっと有効に取入れモデル化するべきことなどが指摘された。成果の概要は研究報告書として印刷、配布される。
