研究概要	1.生後1日目のElマウス肝に特異的な3kbのmRNA異常発現が確認された。 2.Elマウスの発作によってcーfos mRNAの誘発が認められ、このmRNAと発作との相関を明らかにした。 3.ElマウスはPTZに対するけいれん閾値が非常に低い(18mg/kg)こと及び神経細胞の成長発達分化に障害があることを明らかにした。 4.これまでにElマウス脳内におけるてんかん原焦点複合という新しいメカニズムを見い出し、さらに発作発射が伝播して、各種の臨床症状を呈するのに脳の各部位がどのような役割を果たすかを同定した。 5.Elマウスの海馬領域を中心に鍍銀法で組織学的に検索して、CA1、CA2領域の錐体細胞の樹状突起が乏しく、細胞数も少ないことを観察した。 6.NMDAレセプタ-が(1)NMDA認識部位、(2)グリシン認識部位、(3)ポリアミン部位および(4)イオンチャネル部位から構成されるレセプタ-イオノフォア複合体を形成することを解明した。 7.ElマウスのGABA作動性神経系は反復するけいれんによって機能が変化することが明らかになった。また、ノルアドレナリン作動性神経系のうち、α_1受容体は小脳、線条体、α_2受容体は大脳皮質、海馬、脳幹部で結合能の増加が認められた。 8.Elマウス脳内GABA作動系異常領域を空関的に同定した。 9.Elマウス大脳皮質及び海馬切片の興奮性並びに抑制性神経伝達物質の放出異常を明らかにした。 10.骨から血液へのCa輸送の低下が中枢カルモジュリン依存性のド-パミンレベルの低下を引きおこしていることが示唆された。 11.GABA_Bレセプタ-アゴニストのbaclofenにはElマウスのけいれん抑制効果が認められた。 12.遺伝的及び微生物的にコントロ-ルされたElマウス維持・繁殖群の確定を行った。
