研究概要	細胞接着の分子機構と細胞機能発現に関する共同研究等の研究計画の企画調査研究を行なった結果、得られた主な研究成果を次に挙げる。細胞間接着にはカドヘリンの細胞内ドメインと結合するタンパク質のリン酸化が関与すること、フィブロネクチンへの細胞接着にはミオンシン軽鎖キナ-ゼが関与すること、インテグリンは細胞骨格系のαーアクチニンと結合すること、繊維芽細胞によるコラ-ゲンゲル収縮にはアクチンフィラメントが関与していることが明らかになり、細胞内情報伝達機構の解析への道が開かれ、共同研究が有効であることがわかった。RGDやYIGSR配列を含む合成ポリペプチドにより癌細胞転移が抑制されること、RGDシグナルをプロテインAに発現させて人工細胞接着蛋白質を創生できること、癌細胞の分泌する細胞外マトリックス分解酵素の機能解析、アシアロ糖蛋白質レセプタ-を標的とした肝細胞の人工接着基質の作製、大型プロテオグリカンによる細胞接着調節機構解析、血小板凝集には血小板活性化因子とコラ-ゲンが相乗的に作用するとの知見などに基づき、細胞接着コントロ-ルが可能なことがわかり、共同して医療その他への開発を進めることが有効であることが明らかになった。cDNA解析の結果、マクロファ-ジ表面のガラクト-ス特異的動物レクチン、プロコラ-ゲンの分泌に関係する熱ショック蛋白質、マウス初期胚の細胞接着に関与する3種の糖蛋白質などの、新しい蛋白質の構造が解析された。平成2年10月に各班員の研究結果をまとめた研究成果中間報告書を発行し、平成3年1月18日に各班員の研究成果の報告会を行ない、同1月19日に開発シンポジウムを開き、重要な知見を公開した。平成3年3月に本研究年度に得られた研究成果を報告書としてまとめ、研究機関に配布する予定である。以上の成果に基づき、平成4年度発足重点領域研究「細胞接着と細胞機能発現機構」の申請を行なった。
