研究概要

がん遣伝子の発見をきっかけに、がん研究は遺伝子の時代に入リ、欧米のがん研究先進諸国を中心に激しい研究競争を繰り広げている。地理的に隔離されているわが国の研究者は、研究者との直接の討論、情報、資料交換に自ら制限があり、ともすると孤立しかねない。この問題点を克服するため、わが国の第一線の研究者を積極的にがん研究先進国に送る必要がある。
本研究では、ヨーロッパのがん研究先進諸国との研究交流を目的に組織された。特に、日独、日仏の2国間がん研究交流を中心に運営している。本年度は、日独、日仏がんワークショップともにヨーロッパで開催した。
1.日独がんワークショップ
1992年10月19日-21日.ドイツ癌研究センター(ハイデルベルグ)において開催した。日本側から本研究費によって13名(黒木登志夫、豊島久真男、谷口維紹、菊谷 仁、平野俊夫、伊藤嘉明、山岸秀夫、勝木元也、奥村 康、広橋説雄、堀井 明、長田重一、相沢慎一)、厚生省側からば2名(江角浩安、関谷剛男)の合計15名が参加した。ドイツ側から約60名が参加し、発癌と癌免疫の分子生物学の最先端について討論した。
2.日仏がんワークショップ
ハイデルベルグに引き続き、1992年10月22日-23日.リヨン市において「発癌と癌免疫の分子生物」について、フランス側から30名、日本側から上記の15名が参加して討論した。
3.その他
パリで行われた癌転移国際会議に中島元夫、白血病細胞の染色体転座共同研究に瀬戸加大を派遣した。
