研究概要

本研究においては,研究代表者がこれまで重点的に研究してきた,半導体電極反応に関する技術と,相手側研究代表者らが最近開発した,酵素を電極表面に直接化学修飾する技術を組み合わせて,
(1)全く新しいタイプの光電気化学的生化学センサ-を構築し
(2)生化学物質の選択的酸化還元光電極を研究した。
すなわち,前者においては,酵素の持つ高選択性と,半導体の持つ光応答性(高感度検出能)を兼ね備えた新型センサ-の研究である。半導体電極反応はこれまでおもに,エネルギ-変換材料としての興味から研究されてきた。また,これまで研究されている生化学センサ-は,ほとんど通常の電極反応と組み合わせ,信号を電気信号として検出する方式を採用している。本研究においては,光電極反応を高感度検出手段として促え,全く新しい検出法を用いた生化学センサ-の開発を試みた。そらに,後者においては,酵素を化学修飾した半導体電極を用い,太陽エネルギ-を利用した選択的な生化学物質の酸化還元反応系の基礎研究を実施した。
具体的には次の7項目を検討し,成果をあげた。
(1)酵素を酸化物半導体上に化学修飾する手法の探索
(2)酸化タングステン,酸化モリブデンのフォトクロミック特性,特に,アルコ-ル以外の物質による着色量変化を研究した。
(3)上記半導体のフォトクロミック現象の応答速度の測定および解析
(4)光導波路法による高感度検出システムの確立。特に,モニタ-光導入のためのグレィテイング作製法の改良
(5)酵素を化学修飾した酸化チタン電極の作製と基礎物性の測定
(6)光導波路の上記生化学センサ-への応用
