雲物理、降雪過程を伴う重力流ヘッドの動力学とそこでの酸性雪の生成機構

研究概要

目的:豪雪の重要なメカニズムである重力流について、そのダイナミックスの解明を目的とする。このため、雲物理、降雪過程を伴う場合(湿った重力流)とそうでない場合(乾いた重力流)についての風洞実験と数値実験を行う。この時、酸性雪の生成機構も同時に数値的に調べる。成果:1)乾いた重力流 気流の急変に対応できる乱流理論として、密度成層効果を含む乱流輸送理論を展開し、これを気流モデルに組み込んで数値実験を行い、風洞実験と合わせて次の結果を得た。まず、重力流上面と周囲流体との密度界面でのシャ-不安定の有無が動流の内部構造とダイナミックスに根本的な相違を生むこと、シャ-不安定はRi数0.25の領域で発生することを示した。シャ-不安定が起きるとケルビンヘルムホルツ渦が次々と生成されて後方に移動し、これが上空の空気を重力流内部に取り組み(重力流上面での混合機構)、また、これが重力流上面での抗力を生み重力流の進行速度を大きく減少させる。シャ-不安定がなければ、前者と全く異なった内部構造を持ち、勢力を維持しながら高速で進行する。その際、周囲流体が強い安定成層である場合には重力流の衝撃が安定層内に強い波立ち(内部重力波)を誘起し、これが逆に重力流に作用して重力流先端部を分離し、孤立波(リリトン)を生成する。2)湿った重力流 雲水、雲氷、雨、雪、あられ、水蒸気の6つの水分層をもつ雲物理モデルを構成し、これに、汚染物質の雲水、雪、雨粒への取り込み、気相、雲化学反応のモデルを結合した。さらに、このモデルを用いて、冬期日本海上で生成する筋状雲列の生成と降雪現象を予備的に解析し合理的な結果を得た。例えば、この現象には雲水、雪氷、雪、あられの相のみが関与し、雨(降下水滴)はいかなる高度でも関与しないこと、また雪の成長には雪粒子による雲粒の捕捉と雪粒子表面への水蒸気の沈着が同程度の寄与を持つこと、などの結果である。
