研究概要

本研究班は、材料作製のプロセスにおける界面制御、ならびに材料界面の制御を行うことによって、材料の機能の向上と界面の特殊な性質を発揮させるることを目的として研究を進めてきた。
河合は、真空紫外領域のエキシマレ-ザ-アブレ-ションを利用したレ-ザ-MBE法を用い、薄膜表面の構造と化学組成を制御することによって、LayerーbyーLayerに膜を成長させることを主眼に研究を推進している。本年度は、酸化物超伝導体Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_8単結晶を作製し、そのへき開面上にBi_2Sr_2CuO_6半導体バリアをLayerーbyーLayerに超薄膜を作製して、トンネル接合を作り、トンネルスペクトルの測定を行った。トンネルスペクトルからBi系酸化物超伝導体の超伝導性は、BCS理論の枠内にあるが、従来の超伝導に見られない強い相関の存在が認められた。
曽我は、変調構造を持つ湿潤シリカゲルを強酸の水溶液で溶媒置換することによって、ミクロポアを含まないで、しかも高温まで安定な多孔質構造の作製に成功した。この材料は触媒担体としても有用であるために、今後この方向に発展させる計画を持っている。
山中は、結晶構造内の界面を原子レベルで制御するために、一連の層間化合物を対象として、新しい機能性の材料の研究・開発を進めている。本年度は、TiO_2ゾル粒子をインタ-カレ-トした粘土層間架橋多孔体を合成し、リチウム2次電池の正極活物質としての利用を検討し、優れた特性を持つことを見いだした。
南は、溶融条件や急冷条件を制御することにより、超イオン伝導性αーAgIのガラスマトリックス中への常温凍結に成功した。
橋本は、ブロックあるいはランダム共重合体を含む複雑な高分子アロイの相溶性および自己秩序化構造の基礎を明らかにした。
岡本は、αーFi_<16>N_2薄膜に於ける巨大磁化発現機構の解明を行い、さらに半導体にイオン注入し、深い準位に関する知見を得た。
以上の計画研究の研究成果を中心として、公募研究との連携を取りつつ、研究を推進した。
