研究概要

本研究は重点領域研究(1)高温超伝導材料を基盤とする新エレクトロニクス(略:新超伝導工学)の研究計画の策定、研究者相互の調整および本領域内や隣接領域とのコミュニケ-ションなどの業務を通じて、本領域の研究進展を円滑ならしめることを目的とする。
本総括班のメンバ-は上記6名の他、本領域の計画研究から山下努(東北大学)、小林猛(阪大)および森末道忠(埼玉大)の3名、評価メンバ-から坂東尚周(京大)、梶村皓二(電総研)、宮沢信太郎(NTT)および大塚泰一郎(日本真空)の4名である。その他に各研究班(第1〜第4班)の評価メンバ-計13名が所属している。
活動の主なものは研究会開催と総括班会議である。定例として総括班会議は研究会と日を合わせて、研究会が2日以上にわたる場合は、その初日に開催して、研究の進展に対する評価、今後の日程の決定などを行う。研究会は平成3年6月12・13日(つくば)、8月26〜28日(秋田)および平成4年1月20・21日(東京)で開催した。本年は本領域の最終年度であるから、総括班としては平成4年度での成果とりまとめを隣接領域と協調して計画することに特に意を用いた。
個人の研究内容は各研究代表者の報告に譲るが、高温超伝導領域に占める新超伝導工学の位置づけには常に大きな関心を持ってきた。実用面での基礎を主とする本領域では現時点で表面的な成果を云々するのは当を得ない。しかし以下に示す様な特徴的な成果は基礎的に重要である。バイクリスタルJJ素子、Bi系単結晶のJJ的特性の確認、各種の方法による超薄膜の製作とそのキャラクタリゼ-ション、従来の方法によるSIS形素子製作の限界とその原因究明、ヘテロエピタクシの特性と表面・界面の評価およびデバイス応用への展望、酸化物超伝導体表面の局所トンネル分光による電子状態の推定、電界効果素子の実験的な確認。
