研究概要

本研究は衛星デ-タを利用し大気海洋間の熱・運動量・淡水等のフラックスの推定、海洋過程、大気過程の研究に分けられ、本年度は以下のような成果を得た。
1.フラックスの推定:昨年度開発した新アルゴリズムを用い、日本近海の熱フラックスを再評価した(今里)。可降水量デ-タから海面気温を算出する方法を開発した(久保田)。日本近海に適用するのに最も精度の良いバルク法を見つけた(木村)。OMLET航海時の各種衛星デ-タの整備と精度検証を行った(川村)。日射量の季節空間分布の特徴を明らかにした(古賀)。
2.海洋過程:GEOSAT高度計デ-タより求められた渦運動エネルギ-は、黒潮続流域のほか20ﾟNを中心とした東西に広く広がった海域で高い事が分かった。(今脇)。海面高度アノマリ-は季節的に赤道上で東進、±5ﾟでは西進していた(和方)。熱赤外画像と粒子追跡数値実験から、黒潮変動に伴い流軸を横切る物質循環が起きている事を見つけた(淡路)。CZCSデ-タを用い、日本近海クロロフィル濃度場を作成し、熱画像や実測デ-タとの比較検討を行った(才野、向井)。海色リモ-トセンシングによるクロロフィル濃度の誤差要因の一つである溶存有機物質の蛍光特性を測定し、数種の成分を光学的に識別した。主成分の一つはクロロフィル濃度と正の相関を持つ事がわかった(千賀)。
3.気象過程:次世代衛星による偏光観測を利用した雲パラメ-タの推定について研究を行った。そして雲による大気上端での放射に与える影響を見積もった(高島)。ウラジオストックと札幌の2地点でエアロソル捕集装置を設置し同時連続観測を行った。そして、黄砂をひまわりやNOAAの衛星画像等から調べ、1990年4月の降下量が1.3mg/cm^2/yrと算出した(植松)。海上風の実測場と衛星デ-タからの推定値を比較し相違点の要因を探った結果、実測場自体にも不確定要因がある事が明確になった(轡田)。
