内因性運動プログラム間の結合・解離とその中枢制御

研究概要	無麻酔除脳ネコの脳幹に微小電極を刺入し、中脳歩行誘発野(MLR)を機能的に同定した。MLRへの刺激強度とトレッドミルのベルトの速さを変えることにより、slow walkからgallopまで種々の歩容の歩行運動を誘発した。本年度はとくに、歩行運動中における呼吸リズムと歩行リズムを支配する神経振動子間の結合・解離現象を位相反応特性の観点から解折した。呼吸リズムは横隔膜の筋活動で、歩行リズムは後肢・腓腹筋の筋活動で評価した。呼吸および歩行リズムに対する外乱としては、後肢の甲の皮膚に刺激電極を装着し、呼吸および歩行の種々の位相で電気刺激を加えた。まず、安静時における皮膚電気刺激に基づく呼吸リズムの位相反応曲線を計測した。呼吸リズムの位相変位は刺激の呼吸位相に依存して変化し、呼気相では明確な位相進みが生じた。しかし、slow walk時においては、呼吸リズムの位相変位が刺激の呼吸位相にかかわらず大きく変動し、位相変位を刺激の呼吸位相の1変数関数としては表現できないことが推定された。そこで、同一呼吸位相による呼吸リズム位相変位の歩行位相依存性および同一歩行位相における呼吸リズムの位相反応曲線の計測を行った。その結果、歩行運動中における呼吸リズムの位相変位は、刺激の呼吸位相と歩行位相との2変数関数としての位相反応曲面として表現されることがわかった。一方、歩行リズムの位相変位は刺激の呼吸位相には依存せず、刺激の歩行位相の1変数関数として表現されることが明らかとなった。このようなリズムの違いによる位相反応特性の差異は、それらのリズムを支配している神経振動子間の結合様式の差異に基づくものと推定される。すなわち、歩行振動子と呼吸振動子間には結合が存在するがそれは一方向性結合であり、呼吸振動子が歩行振動子によって変調されているものと推定された。
