研究概要	岩淵は植物転写因子HBPー1a及びーbの各ファミリ-内での2量体形成能と塩基配列認識との関係、及び両因子の遺伝子の5'上流域の解析から両遺伝子がautoregulationされている可能性を示した。内宮はイネよりアデニレ-トキナ-ゼ遺伝子をクロ-ン化し、外的ストレスに応答するエネルギ-反応系の存在を明らかにした。下村は小胞体に存在するオ-キシン結合タンパク質と原形質膜オ-キシン受容体との相同性を調べるための遺伝子クロ-ニングを行った。内藤はダイズ種子貯蔵タンパク質遺伝子のプロモ-タ-領域とGUS遺伝子の融合遺伝子を導入したトランスジェニックアラビドプシスを親株として、種子でのGUS活性の発現が高温では見られない温度依存性変異株を分離した。山崎はプラスミドDNA上のグアニン残業を含まない転写領域の上流に合成プロモ-タ-を挿入し、GTPを含まない溶液を用いて小麦胚芽抽出液中で転写を行った。この時、トポイソメラ-ゼIにより弛緩させた上記DNAの転写も同時に行い、DNA上の超ラセン構造の違いだけによる転写効率の変化を観察した所、超コイル型DNA上において、より高い転写活性を観察した。吉川は病原菌の産生するファイトアレキシン誘導物質の生成機構及びエリシタ-の分子構造また宿主に存在するエリシタ-認識物質、ファイトアレキシン合成系酵素群遺伝子転写誘導機構などについて解析を行った。特にエリシタ-遊離因子のcDNAで形質転換したタバコ植物において数種糸状菌病に対する抵抗性増強の可能性を示した。この事は、外的シグナルに応答する植物側の因子を分子的基盤で直接証明した点で特筆される。
