研究概要	応用解析および計算数学の研究の広い範囲にわたる研究分担者の協力によって、多くの研究集会、国際シンポジウムを組織し、平成4年12月末には、応用数学合同研究集会を応用数学分野の他の5つの総合研究班と合同して開催し、研究発表・交流・問題提起を活発に行った。 I.研究代表者を中心として得られた成果(1)精度保証つき数値計算法の研究を続けて、自励系の常微分方程式系に対する周期解の存在を計算機支援によって証明する法方を整備した。これによってパラメーターの値に敏感に依存する周期解の解析が行えるようになった。その際、計算機による区間演算が、丸め誤差評価のために必要であり、当科研費で購入したワークステーション用のソフトウェアーのうち、倍精度浮動小数点四則演算用のものを完成したため、実用している。(2)斜面上を流れ下る粘性流体の自由表面に起る波の研究を続けて、その線形化方程式系のスペクトル解析に取組んでいる。原点近傍でのスペクトルの様子は、摂動法でわかったが、分岐理論を応用するには、(1)の方法を適用するしかなく、その拡張を試みつつある。 II.研究分担者が著しい成果を収めた研究課題(1)ダイナミカル・アッセンブリー仮説による脳高次機能の実験的、理論的研究(藤井宏)、(2)電磁場の有限要素性の研究を続け、変分法的定式化を誘導して、辺要素とその共変要素として拡張したモデルを提案したため、3次元問題の解析ができる様になった。(菊地文雄)、(3)準周期的外力を伴う常微分方程式系の準周期解を求めるための定理を拡張した。(篠原能材)、(4)逆問題の解析を続け、多孔質の管の中の流体の流速を推定する問題に一つの解決を与えた。(鈴木貴)(5)相転移等に現れる界面の運動の研究において、研究分担者が開発した特異摂動法・特異極限安定性解析と、Evansの位相的手法との関連を解明した。(西浦廉政)
