核融合次期装置における材料システム的課題

研究概要	本年度は平成3年度に引き続き、主としてITERに関連した材料課題の内、以下の外題について重点的に検討を行った。(a)低温での高エネルギー中性子照射による伸びの低下、(b)低温クリープの照射による促進、(c)水環境下での照射誘起SCC、(d)低放射化材料の必要性と基準、(e)被照射材料の溶接に伴う問題、(f)中性子照射された材料の核融合燃料挙動、(g)以上の検討結果の構造設計指針への影響、である。更に次期装置を中性子照射装置として利用する場合の要求仕様を具体化し、装置設計への指針をまとめる作業を行った。これに関しては、本研究分担者を中心にアンケート調査を実施し、それぞれの材料毎にDEMO炉用材料としての特性を評価するための必要最小限の照射量を検討した。内容の詳細については中間報告書に掲載する予定であるが、実炉環境中における材料の複合的な対照射応答に関する情報を得る上で極めて重要な役割があるとともに、大容積の核融合中性子照射装置として特に照射相関を確立する上で重要であることが指摘された。一方、累積照射量の年次計画からみると、DEMO炉の工学データはもとより材料開発にとっても遅すぎることは明かで、核融合条件の標準照射場として、核分裂炉やDLi型強力中性子源における照射効果の較正に活用するのが妥当と考えられる。一方、ITERにおいてもEDA開始により構成材料の再検討が行われ、従来構造材料と考えられてきた316ステンレス鋼のみならず、フェライト鋼等の材料が検討されるに到っている。これに関しては本研究においても最重要な課題と受けとめ、ITERにおいてフェライト鋼等を使用するにあたっての問題点や、更にフェライト鋼やバナジウム合金等をテストブランケットモジュール用の材料として採用する場合の問題等の検討を行った。この結果を集約して分担者の香山が平成5年3月下旬から開催されるITER技術諮問委員会(Technical Advisory Committee)で報告する予定になっている。また、この検討結果の詳細は中間報告書に掲載する予定である。
