研究概要

昨年度(平成3年度)に引き続き、主に4つの問題点から研究を進めており、各領域で次のような成果を得た。
1.受容器の動的構造 複眼視細胞の光受容膜の再生が細胞内膜系のSRCを経由し、その調節にホスファチジルイノシトール輸送蛋白質と相同な膜蛋白が関与することを、ショウジョウバエの視覚突然変異体で証明した。2.高次情報伝達の素過程 鱗翅目昆虫の視覚系で、菫色受容器の複眼内の配置を同定し、連絡相手が視葉板ニューロンであることを確かめた。一方、その嗅覚系では、フェロモン受容による性行動を発現駆動する前大脳ニューロンに3群があることを確認し、それらの活動と行動の関連性を明らかにした。また、甲殻類で尾扇肢の自己受容器ニューロンの応答特性と中枢投射回路を確かめた。3.感覚情報伝達路の可塑化 数10種類の生理活性ペプチドを同定しており、そのうちミツバチ、ユムシ、ドブガイで発見した種類は感覚情報伝達系への関与が見込まれる。双翅目昆虫では羽化直後の臨界期の視覚経験が成虫の視覚機能の形成を決めるが、臨界期に視髄で神経伝達物質などの量的変動が起こることを明らかにした。また、鱗翅目昆虫では、幼虫単眼の視細胞が連絡するニューロンが蛹化後も退化せず、成虫の視髄に組み込まれて、複眼の中枢系介在ニューロンとして働くことを発見した。4.異種感覚間の相互作用 甲殻類の脳内のノンスパイキング・巨大ニューロンが、視覚情報や重力感覚情報のみならず、歩行脚の自己受容器からの情報をも統合し、体平衡系への運動出力を形成することを確認した。5.班会議とシンポジウム 今年度の研究成果を検討する班会議を開き、別に『神経回路の発生・編成・再生』および『無脊椎動物の感覚受容系と中枢』の標題で公開シンポジウムを2度にわたり開催したが、本研究を推進する上で著しい効果があった。
