研究概要	当研究班は学会などを利用した小会合を数多く持ち情報交換を頻繁に行なったが、その他の大きな会合は以下の4つである。 (1)第18回国際ワ-クショップ「強い衝撃波」(代表本間弘樹千葉大学教授、於千葉大学、1991年7月18、19日、資料(a))。 (2)爆発・反応性気体力学に関する第13回国際コロキュアム(代表藤原俊隆名古屋大学教授、於名古屋市、1991年7月28日〜8月2日、資料(b)。当コロキュアムは資料(b)のように登壇者が延160名以上に達する本格的なものである。表題のテ-マにつき最新の話題が発表され今後の飛躍的発展の基礎になるものである。 (3)航空・宇宙における流体力学シンポジウム(代表阿部寛治東京大学教授他、於栃木県鬼怒川グランドホテル、1992年2月3〜4日、資料(c))。延べ54編の話題が提供された。ひとつの話題に対して数多くの質問が発せられ、すべての講演が司会者の強制的打切りにより終るという盛況さであった。当シンポジウムの特徴は、異質な分野間の意見交換にある。たとえば実験家と理論家と数値計算家、燃焼専門家と高速流専門家などである。 (4)高速流の諸問題ワ-クショップ(代表阿部寛治東大教授、於九州大学、1992年2月18日、資料(d))。当ワ-クショップでは、通常の1テ-マ時間制限方式を避け、制限時間なし、予稿集なし、質問者の意向によっては提供話題が変るといった極めてインフォ-マルな形式を試みた。夜の夕食会にも議論は続けられ、航空・宇宙関係の学科の将来像について討論した。最近各大学の航空学科や宇宙コ-スに優秀な学生が集中する現状についての分析が行なわれた。さらなる発展をするためには宇宙工学科を国立大学に新設する必要があるとの指摘が阿部代表からなされた。
