分子動力学とX線回折による高分子強誘電体の相転移の研究

研究概要

ポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)の強誘電相(低温相)及び仮説的常誘電相(高温相)の分子動力学シミュレーションを行い、以下の諸点を明らかにした。
1.PVDFの強誘電相をシミュレーションするには遠距離の静電相互作用を取り込んで巨視的電場を制御することが不可欠であることを示し静電相互作用が強誘電相を安定化していることを提案した。
2.低温でPVDFの無極性構造をシミュレーションして強誘電相との間の転移を見いだし、反強誘電相の可能性を示した。
3.高温でPVDFの無極性構造をシミュレーションして双極子の特徴的回転・反転運動と分子鎖の滑り拡散運動を見いだし、常誘電相の可能性を示した。
4.PVDF高温相において応力の格子定数依存性に強い異方性と非線形性を見いだした。高分子特有の分子運動と強誘電的な双極子相互作用に基づいた圧力誘起転移の前駆現象の可能性がある。
(今後の展開) 現在、発表には至っていないがPVDFのX線回折実験研究の結果が蓄積されており、進行中のシミュレーションの結果と共に近い将来に、以下の諸点について報告予定である。
5.PVDF高温相に特徴的な分子運動とフッ化ビニリデン系共重合体常誘電相の誘電緩和やNMRとの関係。
6.PVDF高温相に特徴的な分子運動が局在性を持つ可能性とその物性への効果。局所モード近似で相転移を議論することの可否。
7.PVDFI型微結晶(強誘電相)内に反強誘電相的ミクロドメインが混在している可能性、及び既にその存在を報告している(110)60度双晶(ドメイン構造)との関係。
8.PVDF高温相及び強誘電相における分子鎖の滑り拡散係数の違い。
