研究概要	高等動植物細胞の物質透過に関する研究は、生理活性物質たとえばホルモン等の作用機作の解明等に基礎研究のみならず、薬剤の開発という応用面にも密接につながる重要かつ甚だ魅力的な課題である。わけてもミトコンドリア、クロロプラスト、Golgi体に代表されるオルガネラのもつ特異的物質輸送機構の解明は、生命現象の根幹に関わるテーマである。この実体を明かにする過程においては、基本的に2つの実験上の困難を克服しなければならない。すなわち(1)intactなオルガネラの分離分画;(2)物質輸送系の精密、迅即かつ簡便で多量のサンプルの処理が可能な測定法の確立である。本試験研究は上記の目的のために、(1)については、植物「細胞核」、「アミロプラスト」分離においてその有効性を実証した試作磨砕ホモジナイザーの実用および製品化、(2)については、アミロプラストのadenylate translocatorの研究過程において確立した"2重"シリコンオイル遠心分離法を発展させて、多種多様なオルガネラを用いる物質輸送過程の解析に応用可能なより有効な遠心機ロータの開発を目論んだ。(1)の試作品を利用して、細胞核、アミロプラスト、葉緑体等の単離に成功した。製品化については現在もその途上にあるが、成功した暁には多くの研究者に利用してもらえるものと考えている。(2)の手法を利用して、ADPグルコースが直接アミロプラストに輸送されるとの仮説に関する実験的な検証に多くの成果をあげることができた。
