IVb族有機金属分子カチオンラジカルの構造、分子運動および反応

研究概要

低温固相マトリックス分離電子スピン共鳴(ESR)分光法により、炭化水素の炭素の一部を炭素と同族の第IVb族元素に置換した有機金属化合物の一電子酸化反応で生成するカチオンラジカルの構造、分子運動に関する研究を行なった。研究実績は次の三項目にまとめられる。1)シクロヘキサン骨格炭素の一個をケイ素に置換したシラシクロヘキサン(cSiC5)のカチオンラジカルの構造および分子運動に関する研究を行なった。選択的に重水素およびメチル基を誘導した化合物を合成し、ESRスペクトルの高精度な解析および得られた磁気パラメ-タの確実な帰属を行なうことができた。その結果、a)中性のcSiC5は椅子型のC_S構造をとるが、一電子酸化反応で生成したカチオンラジカル(cSiC5^+)の極限状態の構造はSiーC結合の一方が伸び、非対称に歪んだC_1であり、その電子状態は ^2Aであることが解った。さらに、b)二つのSiーC結合間で結合伸縮の交替が観測でき、温度上昇と共に交替速度が増加することが解った。4Kの低温でも、結合伸縮交替がおきることより、この現象は量子力学的トンネル機構によることが示唆される。なお、この研究成果の一部は、既に、研究論文として発表されている(Chem.Phys.Lett.1992)。2)ケイ素を一個含む飽和四員環化合物であるシラシクロブタン(cSiC3)系カチオンラジカルの構造および分子運動に関する研究を行なった。cSiC3系カチオンも、cSiC5^+と同様に、非対称に歪んだC_1構造をとることおよび四員環のひだ構造の反転の速度を評価できた。3)IVb族元素を中心原子(M)とするテトラメチル化合物、M(CH_3)_4、カチオンラジカルは中心原子(M)が炭素、ケイ素、ゲルマニュムおよびスズのとき、各々、C_<3V>、C_<2V>、C_<3V>構造をとることが解った。(2)および(3)の研究成果は、今秋のESRおよび放射線化学討論会に口頭発表し、学会誌に投稿する予定である。
