研究概要

創成的基礎研究「生体機能の統合的研究」班は脳の機能を中心に生体の働きを統合的に解明することを目標とし、平成2年度に発足した。班の構成は総括班および3つのサブグル-プから成っている。総括班は平成3年度の活動方針を年度当初に討議し,3つのグル-プの共同研究を含む研究の推進を援助し,国際シンポジウム「脳の隨意運動制御」(1992年1月28ー30日),合同班会議(2月14,15日)を開催して研究交流をはかってきた。
「脳の高次機能の非侵襲的アプロ-チ」班(佐々木和夫班長)は主としてヒトの脳活動を研究の対象とし,独自の見地と方法で研究を進め,共同実験としては生理学研究所に設置された生体磁気計測装置(MEG)を使用した。主な成果は、音声をもつ音響構造による脳活動部位の推定(栗城),手指の自発的運動に伴うMEG計測による一次運動野,補足運動野活動の新知見(柴崎,佐々木),色弁別を伴うGO/NO GO反応課題で運動をしない決断の部位を前頭葉背外側と推定したこと(佐々木),CO_2レ-ザ-光線による皮膚温痛刺激と頭皮上感覚誘発電位からの末梢神経・脊髄視床路伝導速度の決定(柿木),MRIによる内耳微細構造撮影と三次元画像構築(亘),心理物理実験による空間的注意の問題に関する新知見とモデル提唱(下条)等であった。
「行動制御による高次脳機能の研究」班(丹治順班長)は動物行動の多くの局面で新しい知見を得た。大脳運動関連領野の研究において,前補足運動野が見出されたこと(丹治),学習過程における運動連合野と前頭連合野の役割(久保田),複雑な手指運動に関与する頭頂葉細胞(酒田),隨意眼球運動の制御において尾状核換、選択的注意に関与し、ド-パミン系が基本であること(彦坂),視床下部のド-パミン系が雄ザルの性行動誘発に関与していること(粟生),尾状核と被殻は外界の環境や内的な記録から運動を選び出す過程で重要なこと(木村),大脳皮質感覚野が,手指運動の習得にも役割を持つこと(入来)等の成果を得た。
「高次脳活動の基礎としての神経回路網」班(外山敬介班長)はin vivoおよびin vitro標本を用いて神経回路形成の先天的および学習的制御機構と細胞内信号伝達機構に関して大きな成果をあげた。先天的制御機構については視覚中枢での軸索伸展誘導因子A5分子の発見(高木),外側膝状体と層特異性を保持した結合(外山),小脳プルキンエ細胞、顆粒細胞、バスケット細胞シナプスの特定部位への結合(平野),皮示赤核路の発生再現はP7以前であること(村上),上丘への視神経投射切断後の坐骨神経移植による再生の特性(福田)の報告,学習形成機構ではシナプス後メカニズムによる海馬CA1の長期増強と海馬CA3野の長期増強に代謝型グルタミン酸受容体関与(杉山)の報告がある。細胞内信号伝達系ではカイニン酸誘発のてんかんでcfos遺伝子発現とソマトスタチンmRNA転写が起ること(小幡),ヒヨコ有毛細胞でアセチルコリンはムスカリン受容体に作用し,C^<2+>_a遊離によるKコンダクタンス上昇(大森)が明らかにされた。
