研究概要

沢田と佐野は、日仏の理論家(Coullet、佐々、坂口等)と協力して液晶対流中に現れる振動場が形成する局在したターゲットパターンとペースメーカーの生成メカニズムを実験的にも理験的にも明らかにした。また、Coulletの予言した動的ブロッホ壁が実験で観測されることを見い移し、その時空パターンの研究を開始した。蔵本のグループは解折を開始した。金子は、結合写像系を用いた時空カオスの研究で位相スリッブに基因する伝搬波状態を見い出した。これは、仏国訪問時に討議され、Croquette等により実験的確認された。早川は、ヴィスカスフィンガーにおけるパターン選択と振動解の条件を数値的に解折し、仏側の理論クループを訪問して議論を行った。那須野は、Chateの時空間インターミッテンシーの理論を実験的に検証すべく液晶系で実験を行い、Chateと討論を深めた。蔵本は、位相情報を持った神経回路における引き込みの理論を開発し、その情報処理に果す役割に関する研究に着手した。また振動子集団が引き込んで集団カオスと呼ばれる新状態を生じることを発見した。佐野は、亀裂の進行と振動の条件を実験的に明らかにし、理論家グループと解折を開始した。沢田等は、生体のパターン形成桟構解明のため細胞選別の新しいモデルを提案し、実験を行った。仏側では、Croquettが野崎ホール解を実験で初めて確認した。Chateや蔵本のグループは、TDGL方程式の相図を理論的に解明しつつあり、一次元の時空カオスの全貌の見通しを開いた。Couderは、植物の葉序に現れるパターンとフィボナッチ数列の関係を明らかにするモデルと実験の開発に成功した。Tabelingは、2液界面に生じる渦列の実験で位相ソリトンを見い出した。Bensimonは、脂質二重膜の形態と転移現象を調べ、トロイダル構造を発見し、その安定化条件を理論的に明らかにした。
