雲物理・降雪過程を伴う重力流ヘッドの動力学とそこでの酸性雪の生成機構

研究概要

豪雪の力学的メカニズムに関連して、本研究では重力流の内部構造とダイミックスの解明を目的とした。雲物理、降雪過程の有無による重力流持性の変化、豪雪時の酸性雪の挙動を解明することを目標とした。
(1)雲物理・降雪過程を伴う重力流数値モデルと酸性雪モデル:まず、乱流モデルとして、成層乱流に十分な精度を持つモデルを構築した。雲物理モデルとして、バルクウォーター型のもの(即ち、水蒸気、雲水、雲氷、雨、雪の5つの相間の水分移動を各相の水分量や気温等のマクロ変数によってパラメタライズするもの)を開発した。
(2)重力流中のケルビン・ヘルムホルツ(K-H不安定)、内部ボア、孤立渦:重力流のダイナミックスについて風洞、数値実験を実施した。K-H不安定条件に達すると、渦が重力流ヘッド前縁に次々と生成され発達しながら重力流上面を下流に移動し、その際上空の空気を重力流内部に取り込む。逆に湿った重力流内部の空気を上空に運んで雲を生成する。これが重力流上面でのドラッグを生むため重力流の進行を大きく減速させる。K-H不安定がなければ勢力をそのまま持続して高速で進行し、内部構造も前者とは全く異なったものになることを示した。周囲流体が安定成層状態の場合には、重力流の衡撃が安定層内に汲立ち(内部重力波)を誘起し、重力流の前方にローター状の内部ボアを形成する。また、内部重力波は逆に重力流に作用して、重力流先端部を分離して孤立波を生成する。
(3)豪雪時の酸性雪の挙動:大気汚染の輸送・拡散・反応・沈着モデルを気流数値モデルと組み合わせて、これを日本海上に形成されるロール状熱体流に適用した。この結果、降雪量や雪中の硫酸イオン生成、水素イオン濃度の観測値がかなり良く再現されることを示した。
