研究概要	成長を続けている結晶界面と接する環境相は、成長機構を支配する最も重要な部分と考えられる。しかし、この環境相の果たしている役割を実験的かつ定量的に解析する試みは現在までほとんどない。本研究ではX線回析、トンネル顕微鏡、光学分光、SEM-EPMA,光学および電子顕微鏡、熱測定などの方法により、固液界面付近の組成・構造の変化をその場で直接観察し定量測定することによって、結晶成長に及ぼす環境相の影響を原子レベルで解明しようとするものである。本年度の研究は次の六つの方向から行われた。1)固液共存状態からの結晶成長(武居):時間分割高温X線解析装置を開発、完成し、それにより高温超伝導体の包晶反応を伴った結晶成長機構をその場解析した。その結果報告されている相関係に重大な誤りのあることが判明した。2)トンネル顕微鏡による成長表面の観察(小松):AFMにおいて水中観察法を新たに開発し、高さ方向の解析精度の飛躍的向上に成功した。3)ラマン分光法による成長界面の観察(小川):光ファイバーを用いて、成長界面でラマン分光を行なうシステムを完成し、KDP結晶の水溶液成長に伴う溶液構造の変化の測定に成功した。4)ゾル-ゲル法酸化物膜のエピタキシー(平野):ゾル-ゲル法により生じた非晶質状態の構造を制御する方法を開発し、それによりKTN単結晶膜のエピタキシャル成長に成功した。5)動的環境による結晶組成制御(熊川):多元系混晶半導体結晶の融液成長において、外部より超音波や反転回転などの激しい擾乱を導入することにより、均一組成化しうることがわかった。6)非晶質からの準結晶の成長(蔡):急冷法で作成した非晶質合金が熱処理によって結晶化する状況をDSCにより測定し、その動力学的な解析によって、核発生時における粘性が重要であることを明らかにした。これらの成果は、結晶成長時の環境相の解明に大いに有用と考えられる。
