研究概要

本重点領域研究では、光合成を行う本体である葉緑体、および葉緑体を含む細胞における、損傷の修復および環境への適応の分子機構を解明することを目的としている。この研究目的を達成するため本総括班では、研究班間、研究グループ間、研究者間の連絡と調整のため委員(連絡・調整委員)と、研究計画に対する助言と研究成果の評価をおこなう委員(評価委員)を置き、以下の活動をおこなった。
1.研究計画発表会(計画研究班員および公募研究採択者全員)を7月2〜3日(京都)に開催した。
2.研究成果発表会(計画研究班員および公募研究採択者全員)を1月28〜30日(基礎生物学研究所)に開催した。
3.ワークショップ「植物・藻類の形質転換技術-基礎と応用、将来の展望」を8月19〜21日(木曾福島)に開催した。
4.総括班会議を7月2日(京都)、1月28日、1月30日(両日とも基礎生物学研究所)に開催した。
5.研究連絡・調整会議を5月6日(名古屋)、8月19日(木曾福島)、に開催した。
6.計画班員および公募研究採択者全員の平成5年度の研究成果をとりまとめ、平成5年度研究成果報告書として発刊した。
7.光合成の環境応答の分子機構ニュースレター第3号(内容:研究組織および班員・班友名簿)を6月に、第4号(Publication list)を7月に、第5号(使ってくださいコーナー)を8月に、第6号(特集:植物・藻類の形質転換技術)を12月に発刊した。
8.研究班員の提案課題によるミニワークショップを2件開催した。「植物の熱ショックタンパク質と高温への適応」を11月19〜20日に基礎生物学研究所(出席者約40名)で、「光合成における循環的電子伝達系の新展開をめざして」を12月3〜4日に愛知青年会館、名古屋(出席者約30名)で開催した。
9.班員・班友間の共同研究を3件おこなった。「細胞分化に伴うプラスチド遺伝子発現と脂肪酸不飽和化の制御」、「光合成の環境応答に関与する新しい葉緑体遺伝子の検索」、「緑藻クラミドモナスの低CO2誘導性細胞膜タンパク質の分子生物学的研究」
