研究概要

本年度も2回の研究会を開催した。それぞれ特徴いる研究会で、第1回は平成4年9月20、21日に行われ、我々が興味を持っている物質系の物性に非常に近い領域で仕事をしている5名の理論研究者を外部より招待し、充分時間をかけて講演及び議論をして頂いた。これは各班員のそれぞれの研究をより深め進展させるのに大変有効であったばかりでなく、分子性固体場の概念を深化させかつ明確化するには大変有益であった。第2回の研究会は平成5年2月28日、3月1日に行われた。これは本総合研究の一応のしめくくりの会として実施したので、出席した班員全員から“分子性固体場"という立場からそれぞれの研究成果、見通しなどを報告して頂いた。有機超伝導体のグループでは、固体場という概念を通して新しい物質系の構築が報告され、着実な進展がはかられている。又、水素結合物質系でも、本研究中に新しい機能をもった物質系が開発されその研究の展開が報告された。さらに、C_<60>に代表される炭素クラスター固体の世界は、正に分子性固体場を具現したものであり、新しい考え方での研究の進展が着実に展開されている。又その理論的取扱いにも、新しい概念が取り込まれようとしている。光誘起電子相相転移(一次元性物質)の発見も本研究の間になされたもので、今後の展開が期待されている。
主として研究会での3年間の討論を通じての“分子性固体場"の概念の理解は、それぞれの立場で若干の差異はあり得るが、ほぼ共通のイメージを持ち得るところまできたと思われる。今後は、もう少し焦点を絞った形で研究を深化させて、“分子性固体場"の概念の明確化と具現化を進めることが期待される。
