研究概要	これまで5回、ヨーロッパ、米国において開催されてきたスーパーオキシド・スーパーオキシドジスムターゼ国際会議(SOD会議)の第6回会議を日本で1993年に開催するよう要請をうけた。これをうけて、まず開催日時(10月11日〜15日)、場所(国立京都国際会館)を決定し、ファーストサーキュラーを世界中の関係研究者に送付した。ついで、SOD会議の現時点で最も重要な課題が何であり、どのような演者を招請し、討論を行うのが最も有意義であるかについて、以下のようにシンポジウムを行い、それらを基にプログラム委員会を開催し、セカンドサーキュラーを作成し、世界の関係研究者に送付した。平成4年11月29日ー12月2日Joint Meeting of the 5th Conference of SFRR/Japan and 4th SOD Forum(SFRR,Asia SODフォーラムと共催) 平成5年2月11日ー12日9th Clinical Conference on Free Radicals(臨床フリーラジカル会議と共催) 平成4年12月26日第1回プログラム委員会(京都) 平成5年2月12日第2回プログラム委員会(京都) 決定されたプログラムの主題は以下の通りである。 1.活性酸素種の生成siteと機構、2.活性酸素種のin vivo及びin vivoにおける検出、測定、3.SODおよび抗酸化酸素の分子機構、4.酸素ストレスによるSODおよび活性酸素消去酵素の遺伝子発現と適応、5.脂質過酸化反応:原因か結果か?、6.活性酸素種による標的分子の酸化と検出、7.生体シグナルとしてのNOと活性酸素種、8.食糧と薬の抗酸化成分、9.SOD治療の展望、10.活性酸素種と疾患との関係、11.環境化学と環境生物学
