電波星シンチレーション多周波同時観測による太陽風加速機構の研究

研究概要

1.惑星間空間シンチレーションの太陽近傍でのデータや「ようこう」、光球面磁場を解析し、磁場の強い黒点領域から吹き出している太陽風速は、太陽風流源面の磁気中性線の領域からの低速風に比べ速度が遅いことが分かってきた。これは、「さきがけ」の磁場観測から提唱されている閉磁場構造モデルと関係し大変興味有るものである。
2.惑星間空間シンチレーションの方法を用いて0.1-0.3AUの距離で大きな加速を受け高速風となるものが観測されている。この観測結果の信頼性を、様々なバイアス効果を考慮した観測のシミュレーションを行い確かめた。その結果、太陽近傍に於いて高速太陽風のプラズマ密度擾乱が大きく低下しない限りはバイアスの影響は無視できることが分かった。
3.鹿島における観測データの解析により、サイクロトロンダンピングに関係するinner scaleを解析した。inner scaleは、高速風と低速風で異なり、それは密度差によると考えられること、太陽極く近傍では、加速に伴う密度の低下を反映していることが分かってきた。
4.EISCATでの観測データの解析から磁気流体波に関係すると思われるrandom velocityの解析を行った。Random velocityの距離依存性には高速太陽風と低速太陽風とでは明かな差があり、高速風は、0.1AUの距離でrandom velocityの増加が見られたのに対し、低速風では見られなかった。
5.太陽極軌道探査機UIyssesの観測した太陽風速度と惑星間空間シンチレーション観測により求められた速度との比較研究を行った。太陽から1AUの距離での密度擾乱の自乗が速度に逆比例するとして惑星間空間シンチレーションの観測を解釈するとUIyssesの観測と合うことが確認できた。
